From 7-8 p.m. women's basketball play-by-play voice Joe Behrend will talk women's hoops with head coach Yvonne Sanchez as her team gets ready to take on Utah State and Nevada.  Then from 8-9 p.m., Voice of the Lobos Robert Portnoy will sit down and talk about the No. 25 UNM Lobos with head coach Craig Neal as the team looks to remain in first place with a home game tomorrow night against Utah State.

Bairstow Earns Third Mountain West Player of the Week Honor, Named National Player of the Week by CBS Sports

Cameron BairstowCameron Bairstow had another big week and earned a host of honors, including his third Mountain West Player of the Week award.  It now ties him with Xavier Thames for the most this season, and the Lobos now have had a conference leading four Players of the Week.  Alex Kirk was named Player of the Week earlier in the season.

Along with the conference honor, Bairstow was named the national Player of the Week by CBSSports.com, and he was named the NCAA International Player of the Week by NetScouts.com.  Bairstow is one of 17 players on the watch lists for the three major national player of the year awards, the Wooden, the Naismith and the Robertson.

UNM was also named Co-Team of the Week by ESPN.com.  Below are the particular's of Bairstow's week

·Averaged 22.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game as New Mexico pulled into a first-place tie with San Diego State in the Conference standings following wins over UNLV and the then-No. 6/7 Aztecs last week. 

·Went 8-of-20 (.400) from the field while scoring 18 points in a 68-56 road victory at UNLV on Feb. 19.

·Added six rebounds, a career-high five blocks and two assists in 36 minutes of play against the Runnin’ Rebels.

·Scored 10 of New Mexico’s first 18 points en route to a game-high 26 in Saturday’s 58-44 victory over San Diego State.

·Also contributed nine rebounds and one blocked shot in 36 minutes of court time against the Aztecs while converting 61.1 percent (11-of-18) of his field goal attempts.

·New Mexico’s win over then-No. 6/7 San Diego State marked the highest-ranked opponent the Lobos had defeated at The Pit since a 77-74 victory over No. 3 Utah on Feb. 1, 1998.
