• New Mexico closes the regular season by winning its 14th straight game with a 73-66 victory over TCU...the Lobos, who started 0-2 in the Mountain West Conference and were picked to finish 5th in the preseason poll, are 28-3 overall and 14-2 in the MWC

• The Lobos claim their 2nd straight MWC regular-season championship and first outright title since 1994 when they were in the Western Athletic Conference

• New Mexico is tied with Utah State for the nation's 2nd-longest current winning streak at 14 games...Butler has won 18 in a row

• The 28 wins ties for the most in school history...UNM also won 28 in 1995-96 (28-5)

• The 14-game winning streak ties for the 2nd longest in school history, also accomplished in 1977-78...the school record is 17 in a row in 1967-68
