Few Lobos made as great of strides in their UNM careers as Faris • went from scoring 4 FGs and 12 total points as a freshman to becoming one of the top big men in the conference as a senior • points and rebound average increased every year • received the team's Most Improved Player award his last two seasons • finished 6th all-time at UNM with 98 career blocks

2008-09 • SENIOR SEASON
• Second team All-MWC, NABC second team all-district and shared team MVP honors with Tony Danridge

• Started 32 of 34 games, averaging 12.1 points and 6.4 rebounds...6th in the MWC in rebounding and 3rd in blocked shots (1.53)

• Really finished the season strong, averaging, averaging 15.1 points and 7.3 rebounds in the last 7 games...also 32-36 (89%) FTs the past 7 games to finish the year at 71.4%

• Career-high 28 points on career-high 10-17 FGs vs. Nebraska in the NIT...also tied a career-high with 13 rebounds for his 4th career double-double (all this season)...had double-doubles in his final 2 home games (16/10 vs. Utah)

• Made a 6-footer in the lane at New Mexico State with 39 seconds left that was the game-winner in the 68-66 victory...career-high 7 offensive boards

• Set career-highs with 13 rebounds and six blocks at San Diego

2007-08 • JUNIOR SEASON
Earned honorable mention All-MWC honors while averaging 9.2 ppg and 4.4 rpg • scored in double-figures 13 times, including a season-high 21 points at Hawai'i

2006-07 • SOPHOMORE SEASON
Averaged 4.8 ppg and 3.4 rpg, seeing action in all 32 games • started 10 games, including four of the last six • reached double figures in scoring three times, including 10 points in a win over Utah

2005-06 • FRESHMAN SEASON
Best game came against Colorado State, scoring six points on 1-2 shooting and 4-4 from the FT line in eight minutes off the bench.
