Streaks and trends
*New Mexico defeated Wyoming in overtime 66-61 to improve to 18-4 overall and 9-1 on the Mountain West.  The team remains a half-game behind San Diego State in the MW standings.
*New Mexico allowed just 27 points in the first half, and it’s the five time in seven games UNM has allowed 27 points or fewer in the opening half.
*New Mexico is now 16-0 when leading at the half, and 7-0 in conference games.
*The Lobos improved to 3-0 in overtime games this year.
*The overtime was the first home overtime since February 23, 2011 when UNM lost to UNLV 77-74.
*It was the first home overtime win since February 6, 2010 when UNM defeated San Diego State 88-86.

In-Game Notes
*New Mexico allowed a second-chance basket by Larry Nance with10:33 to go in the game.  It was the first second chance points allowed in 73:15 (second half of the Utah State game).  UNM is now on a streak of 88:38 with allowing just two second chance points.
*Alex Kirk and Cameron Bairstow both had double-doubles.  It was the first time two players had double-doubles in the same game since Cam and Alex both did it against Colorado State in the Mountain West opener.
*After opening the game 7-for-12 from the line, UNM went 12-of-14 in the second half and overtime.
*UNM went just 1-for-10 from three-point land, and that was a 35-footer from Cullen Neal in the first half to beat the shot clock.

Junior C Alex Kirk
*Scored 15 points and added 10 rebounds for his 11th double-double of the season, and his 21st of his career.  He is now alone in 11th place on the career list.

Senior F Cameron Bairstow
*Scored 23 points, his 21st double-figure scoring game of the season.  It was his 13th 20-point game of the season.
*Also had 11 rebounds for a double-double, his fifth of the season and of his career.
*Also played a career-high 41 minutes.

Senior G Kendall Williams
*For Williams he has scored in double-figures in all 22 games this season after scoring 13.
*It was his first game with no assists this season.  The last time he had a zero assist game was against Harvard in the NCAA Tournament.
*Had 23 assists and two turnovers in his previous three home games, but had zero assists and four turnovers tonight.

Junior G Hugh Greenwood
*Had eight points with three assists and a turnover in 39 minutes of action.
