Streaks and trends

*New Mexico lost to Boise State, the first loss on the road in conference play, losing 71-70 at Taco Bell Arena.

*New Mexico dropped to 18-5 and 9-2 in Mountain West play and remain a game behind San Diego State in the standings, which is 10-1.

*The loss was the first of the season when UNM led at the half, and the Lobos are now 16-1 when leading at the half, and 7-1 in conference games.

*UNM led by as many as 12 with 1:19 to go in the first half.

*New Mexico's 5-0 conference start is tied for the best conference road start in school history.

In-Game Notes

*UNM allowed a three-pointer to Anthony Drmic off an offensive rebound.  It was only the second basket off an offensive rebound in a pan of 115 minutes, 44 seconds.  BSU eventually scored 10 second chance points.

*For the second straight game, a Lobo opponent chucked in a three-pointer off the glass to beat the shot clock.

Junior C Alex Kirk

*Scored 13 points and just missed a double-double with nine rebounds.

Senior F Cameron Bairstow

*Became the 31st Lobo to record 1,000 career points with his 11th point of the game, a free throw with 6:02 remaining in the first half.

*Recorded 20 points, his 14th 20-point game of the season.

 Senior G Kendall Williams

*For Williams he has scored in double-figures in all 23 games this season after scoring 22.

*Now has 405 points for the season and he joins Kenny Thomas as the only players in school history with four consecutive 400 point seasons.

*He now has 1,674 points to remain in ninth on the all-time scoring list.

*Had three assists to tie Dairese Gary for fourth on the all-time assist list with 564.

Junior G Deshawn Delaney

*Tied his career-high for three-pointers with three, all in the first half.

*He also had four assists and no turnovers.
