ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - TopDrawerSoccer released its initial rankings of the top 100 players in men's college soccer Wednesday, and three Lobos made the cut: junior midfielder Ben McKendry, senior forward James Rogers, and junior forward Kevin Correa.
McKendry, a native of Vancouver, B.C., was ranked No. 37 and is the highest ranked player in Conference USA. He was named to the C-USA Preseason All-Conference Team after posting one assist and five goals in 2013, including the lone tally in UNM's Elite Eight win at No. 2 Washington.
Rogers was ranked No. 70 after leading the Lobos in scoring as a junior in 2013. The Sierra Leone native boasted 20 points after leading the squad with six assists and tying for the lead with seven goals. His four game-winning goals were also the most on the team, and his 57 shots ranked second.
Correa, who was right behind Rogers at No. 72, joins the Lobos after spending the previous two seasons with with St. Francis (N.Y.). Earlier this month he was named to the MAC Hermann Watch List after posting 24 goals and nine assists in two seasons with the Terriers.
TDS will update the list each week throughout the season.
