ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Come join the Lobo Club for the Fall Coaches Luncheon taking place next Wednesday, Sept. 5 at the Marriott Pyramid Hotel from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. featuring UNM Vice President for Athletics Paul Krebs, head football coach Bob Davie, head men's soccer coach Jeremy Fishbein plus football and men's soccer student-athletes.
Krebs, Davie and Fishbein are all scheduled to speak, and this will be Lobo fans' first chance to see Davie following his first game as head coach for UNM. The Lobos host Southern this Saturday, Sept. 1 at 3 p.m. on Branch Field at University Stadium.
Also scheduled to speak is former Lobo football great Preston Dennard. He was one of the top wide receivers in the nation during his time in cherry and silver and finished his career in possession of every UNM receiving record. Dennard then spent nine seasons in the NFL, racking up 232 receptions for 3,665 yards and 30 touchdowns.
"The Lobo Club's Fall Coaches Luncheon is always a great event for our fans and donors," UNM Associate Athletics Director for Development Lee De Leon said. "This event unofficially kicks off the fall athletic season for UNM Athletics and we are looking forward to celebrating another exciting year of competition."
Individual tickets are on sale now for only $20, but there are only a few days left to purchase them and they are going fast.
