Josh Melendez was named MW Player of the Week while freshman righty Drew Bridges was named MW Pitcher of the Week

FRESHMAN (2013):Appeared in 11 games, including nine starts, and went 3-1 with a 4.46 ERA ... made collegiate debut against LaSalle on March 6 and pitched two scoreless innings ... made first career start only three days later against UC Riverside in the second game of a doubleheader on March 9 ... earned first win by hurling 5.0 innings against Texas Tech on April 2 and allowing just two runs on two hits ... earned second win in the first game of a doubleheader at No. 10 Arkansas on April 9 when he struck out three in 5.1 shutout innings and earned Mountain West Pitcher of the Week honors ... struck out a season-high four in next start, April 19 at Nevada as he allowed just one run on three hits in 5.0 innings ... earned third win by tossing season-high 6.0 shutout innings vs. UNLV April 26 ... held opponents to .247 batting average against, including .231 vs. lefties ... allowed two earned runs or fewer in eight of his 11 appearances ... was one of a record 16 players on the team to be named Academic All-Mountain West and was also named a Mountain West Scholar-Athlete.
