BOULDER, Colo -- The Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association announced its final Skiers of the Week honors as well as its All-Conference first and second teams on Monday. Chris Acosta and Mateja Robnik swept the Alpine weekly accolades for their performances at the RMISA Championships/NCAA West Regionals held Feb. 22-24 in Bozeman, Mont., and were among the six total Lobos named All-RMISA.

Joonas Rasanen and Mats Rudin Resaland joined Acosta in being named first team All-RMISA while Michael Bansmer, Robnik and Anni Nord earned second team honors.

All six athletes will represent the University of New Mexico this week at the 2013 NCAA Skiing Championships in Middlebury, Vt. Events begin on Wednesday and go through the weekend.

Acosta, a senior from Ashland, Wisc., earned the first weekly accolade of his career. He was the 2013 RMISA/NCAA West Regionals champion in the giant slalom and finished runner up in the slalom, narrowly missing a weekend sweep as he was two-tenth's of a second behind Denver's Espen Lyshdahl.

Senior Chris Acosta earned his first career weekly accolades and for the second time of his career was named All-RMISA. The Ashland, Wisc., native makes his fourth trip to NCAAs this week.

Robnik, a sophomore newcomer from Luce, Slovenia, also earned the first weekly accolade of her career for finishing third in both giant slalom and the slalom at the RMISA Championships/NCAA West Regionals.

Of the six Lobos named All-RMISA, Acosta is the only repeat honoree as he was named second team in 2012.
