2010 NCAA Ski National Championships

Activities during the week at 2010 NCAA Ski Championships

Redshirt Junior (2013): A lingering leg injury forced her to be done competing...competed in a few preseason events and finished as high as 17th in giant slalom at the RMISA Alpine qualifier on Jan. 7...2012-13 Mountain West Scholar-Athlete...will serve as the administration assistant for the New Mexico Ultimate Ski and Snowboard Challenge.

2012: Redshirted the 2012 season...earned academic distinction as a Lobo Scholar-Athlete.

Sophomore (2011): Earned first team All-America honors after placing eighth in the women's giant slalom and seventh in the slalom at the NCAA Championships (March 12)...was the women's overall Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Skiing Association's MVP, finishing the season with 441 points in conference events...finished fourth in the giant slalom and sixth in the slalom at the Denver Invitational (Feb. 13)...her best finish was at the UNM Invitational where she finished first in both of the women's slalom events (Feb. 5)...took fifth in the giant slalom at the Montana State Invitational (Jan. 16)...finished fifth in the giant slalom and third in the slalom at the Utah Invitational (Jan. 9)...recorded two sixth place finishes in the slalom and giant slalom at the Montana State Invitational (Jan. 17)...recorded three FIS race victories...skied for Norway in the 2011 FIS World Cup held in Aspen, Colo.

Freshman (2010): Finished fourth in the slalom and sixth in the giant slalom at the NCAA Championships (March 13), earning All-American honors in both events...won the giant slalom and took second in the slalom at the NCAA West Regional/RMISA Championships (Feb. 28)...claimed the giant slalom title and finished fourth in the slalom at the Nevada Invitational (Feb. 19)...had a first-place finish in the slalom and a second-place finish in the giant slalom at UNM's home event, the Jade Enterprises/UNM Ski Invitational...had a sixth-place finish in the giant slalom at the Utah Invitational (Jan. 12)...winner of the 2010 FIS Nor-Am Giant Slalom Cup...won six FIS races...raced for Norway in the 2010 FIS World Cup held in Cortina, Italy.p>

Prior to UNM: Attended Wang Handelsgymnas (high school) in Oslo, Norway...placed second in giant slalom in the 2009 Norwegian National Championships...six top-25 finishes in Europa Cup...eleven FIS race victories...member of National Juniors and Europa Cup team from 2004-08.

Personal: Born June 22, 1988, in Oslo, Norway...daughter of Jan Olav and Bente Brusletto...has a sister, Jannicke and a brother, Martin...Jannicke skied for Colorado 2004-05...majoring in strategic communication...enjoys tennis, golf, yoga and water sports.
