The 2012-13 campaign was one of ups and downs for Landstedt and the Lobos, capped by a sixth-place finish at the NCAAs
Senior Chris Acosta finished second on the men's side and sophomore Mateja Robnik claimed third on the women's side to move UNM up one place in the final day of competition
For the second year in a row, Chris Acosta is an RMISA Championships/NCAA West Regionals champ
The Lobos are looking for all individuals to step up in postseason competition
UNM men place four in the top 11 to sweep the meet
The Lobos welcomed schools to their home turf in Red River, N.M. The meet was the only home event of the season for UNM
Junior (2013): Finished a season-best second place in the slalom at the Utah Invite on Feb. 7...had three other top-10 finishes, all in the slalom - eighth at the CU/Spencer Nelson Memorial Invite, seventh at the DU Invite and sixth at the UNM Invite...finished 14th in RMISA MVP Points with 299.
Sophomore (2012): Earned All-Academic Ski Team honors from the United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association...finished 13th in the giant slalom at the RMISA Alpine Qualifer...placed fourth in the slalom at the CU Invitational/Spencer Nelson Memorial...finished fifth in the slalom at the University of Denver Invitational...sustained a season-ending injury following the DU Invite.
Freshman (2011): Captured first place in the slalom at the Jade Enterprises/UNM Invitational (Feb. 5)...tied for third place with a time of 2:03:57 in the giant slalom at the RMISA/2011 NCAA West Region Championships (Feb. 26)...finished seventh (1:28.66) in the slalom at the Montana State Invitational (Jan. 16).
Personal: Born Feb. 3, in Kajaani, Finland...son of Jorma and Marja-Leena Penttinen...has three siblings: Jenni, Antti and Atte...studying business administration...enjoys golf, tennis, soccer and salsa dancing.
