Brad Hutchins is in his 10th year at the University of New Mexico and currently serves as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Marketing & Revenue Generation. Hutchins leads the department's revenue generating units, including marketing, ticket sales, licensing and merchandising. He also serves as the liaison to Lobo Sports Properties (Learfield Sports) and is the sport supervisor for Lobo Baseball.
Additionally, Hutchins has been in involved in securing & negotiating two naming gifts. The $5 million WisePies Pizza & Salad gift is the largest cash gift ever to UNM Athletics and the sixth-largest cash gift overall to the University. University Arena/The Pit is now known as WisePies Arena aka The Pit. The $1.7 million U.S. Bank gift secured naming rights for premium seating areas at Lobo Football and Basketball.
Previous experiences include Buffalo Bills (NFL), Canisius College (NCAA), American Heart Association (Non-Profit) and internships with the United States Olympic Committee and the Missouri Valley Conference (NCAA).
In 2011 Hutchins participated in the 1A Athletic Directors' Institute in addition to completing The Sports Management Institute Executive Program (SMI). Hutchins currently serves on Collegiate Licensing Company's national marketing fund steering committee.
Hutchins is active in the community as he serves on the Board of Directors for Special Olympics New Mexico. He has also assisted with Boys and Girls Clubs, Big Brothers Big Sisters in the past and is very active on campus with University initiatives.
Hutchins graduated from Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in Private Commercial Recreation. He received his master's degree in Sport Administration from Canisius College. Hutchins, 38, is married to Michelle Nowfel and together they have a daughter, Amira, a son, Connor, and a boxer named Bella.
