ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- The 2009 Lobo Country Tour Powered by the New Mexico Sports Authority begins today (Wednesday) in Gallup, N.M. Lobo football coach Mike Locksley, track coach Joe Franklin and men's soccer coach Jeremy Fishbein will be in attendance Wednesday to kickoff the tour at a clinic followed by a meet-and-greet reception. Gallup is the first of five stops this summer by the UNM Athletics Department.

Wednesday's tour stop opens with a Sports clinic with Special Olympians from 3-4 p.m. at the Gallup McKinley County School Track. Lobo coaches will sign autographs for the Special Olympians from 4-4:30 p.m. before taking part in a reception.

The reception is from 5-7 p.m. at Sammy C's Rock N' Sports Pub and Grille. Purchase reception tickets through Brett Newberry at (505) 862-1392 or 722-6633.
