CENTENNIAL, Colo. - Kim Carver, vice president and general manager of the MountainWest Sports Network - The Mtn., today announced that The Mtn. - MountainWest Sports Network has launched on two additional cable providers, including the network's first cable system in Arizona. Also, The Mtn. has secured an expanded distribution agreement with national satellite provider DIRECTV. The network will now available on 25 separate television providers by August 27.

"Each additional distribution partner gives us more momentum and more visibility for our pioneering and award-winning coverage of the Mountain West Conference," said Caver. "We are excited to continue to increase our distribution heading into the start of our third season."

The two new cable providers carrying The Mtn. are:

The Mtn. will be more widely available on DIRECTV's CHOICE package, expanding on the affiliation agreement first announced on Feb. 22. The Mtn. will launch on DIRECTV August 27 on channel 616 and be available to CHOICE^TM and above subscribers in the states and DMA's servicing Mountain West Conference institutions: Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming plus the markets of Dallas/Fort Worth and San Diego. Additional DIRECTV CHOICE package availability now includes:

• Albuquerque-Santa Fe DMA in the state of Arizona
• Cheyenne-Scotts Bluff DMA in the state of Nebraska
• Denver DMA in the states of Nebraska and South Dakota
• Rapid City DMA in the states of Montana, Nebraska, and South Dakota
• Salt Lake City DMA in the state of Idaho

The Mtn. will also be carried on select DIRECTV Mas (Spanish-language programming package) and MDU packages (multiple dwelling unit), available to residents of apartment complexes. Customers throughout the remainder of the county will be able to access The Mtn. with a subscription to DIRECTV's SPORTS PACK.
