Brian Denton is a graduate of the University of New Mexico where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and was a cheerleader from 1991-1996. He began his coaching career as a stunt coach for West Mesa High School where he helped lead them to two NMAA State Championships in 1996 and 1997.

Brian was an instructor and head instructor for the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) from 1993-2000. He has been a UCA Advisor Trainer and an AACCA Safety Certifier. He has judged Regional competitions and High School and College National competitions as seen on ESPN. Brian has been a cheerleading coach at UNM since 1996 and is currently the Northern New Mexico Sales and Representative for Varsity Brands, Inc.
