English Completes 3-Meter at NCAA Zones

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Alice English finished 42nd in the women’s 3-meter at the NCAA Diving Zone Championships, giving UNM more points for the National Invitational Swimming Championships.

English will be joined by Kristen Hepfer for the final event, the platform dive, which will start at 11:30 am Pacific and 12:30 pm Mountain Time.  It will be the second event for Hepfer and the third for English, giving the freshman plenty of postseason experience.

English got out of the gate with three straight dives in the 40s, but couldn’t replicate that over her final three dives.  She was fewer than two points from moving from 42nd to 36th.
