Lobos Travel to Oregon for 2024 Mountain West Men’s Golf Championship

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico men’s golf team travels to Oregon this week for the 2024 Mountain West Championship. The tournament will run Friday-Sunday at the 7,210-yard, par-Emerald Valley Golf Club in Creswell, Ore.

The tournament will feature one round of play on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Live scoring will be available on GolfStat and the tournament will have live coverage each day on a free webstream.

New Mexico has won a record eight Mountain West Championships, most recently in 2021. Last year, the Lobos finished runner-up at the conference tournament.

The No. 20 ranked Lobos are the highest ranked team in the 11-team field. No. 32 San Diego State, No. 51 Fresno State, No. 52 UNLV and No. 58 San Jose State are also in the top 60 nationally, while Colorado State, Nevada, Wyoming, Utah State, Boise State and Air Force round out the field.

The Lobos will feature a lineup of Bastien Amat, Albert Boneta, Matthew Watkins, Carson Herron, and Connor Adams. Oliver Cage is the alternate.

The Lobos are have posted six top-three finishes in 11 events this season, highlighted by two victories, having won the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate in the fall and the NIT to open the spring schedule.
