The Mtn. 90 Second Update on Omar Heins' Lobo Legacy Gift

What is the Lobo Legacy Program?

The University of New Mexico Lobo Legacy Program was formed in 2001 to help recruit, retain and graduate current and future outstanding student-athletes. We want them to become future donors and for all of our programs to be self-funding. Lobo donors have an opportunity to make a commitment to the UNM Athletic Department that will keep giving forever while taking care of their own families.

Lobo Legacy honors a special group of supporters of the University of New Mexico Athletics Department. Their generosity provides long-term stability for scholarship and programmatic needs of UNM student-athletes through planned gifts and endowments.

Planned gifts are contributions that are intended to occur at some future date. They may be created though wills and bequests, charitable trusts or other life income arrangements, gift annuities or life insurance policies.

Endowments are invested in perpetuity, providing annual spendable income that becomes permanent resources within the institution.

For more information on creating a planned gift or establishing an endowment benefiting the UNM Athletic Department and student athletes, please contact:
