Triendl, Bezdickova Earn Capital One First Team Academic All-District

Armin Triendl of men's skiing and Michaela Bezdickova of women's tennis were selected to the Capital One First Team Academic All-District squad for CoSIDA's District VII, making them eligible for Academic All-America honors. The awards give New Mexico six First Team Academic All-District honorees for the year, and 27 over the past three years.

Denver, Colo. -- It's never too warm for skiing news, especially when it concerns Armin Triendl. Triendl was named Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Skiing Association Male Skier of the Year, in a vote of the league coaches at the annual meetings in Denver. Triendl was named Alpine MVP for the RMISA after the RMISA championships in February.

The University of New Mexico ski team wrapped up the 2012 NCAA Championships in eighth place Saturday. Vermont claimed the 2012 Championship while Utah, Colorado and Dartmouth rounded out the top four.
