Olof Hedberg is entering his second season as an assistant Nordic coach. He graduated in 2003 from Mid Sweden University with a degree in Business and a Finance concentration. Hedberg spent the previous school year studying Medicine at the Nordic Ski Academy of Umea University. At UNM, Hedberg is a graduate student working towards an M.B.A. in Finance in the Robert O. Anderson school. In 2004, Hedberg placed 17th in the Swedish nationals, and won three state championships in the 15k, 30k and sprint. He also finished 11th overall in the Swedish Sprint Cup. As a result Hedberg was named the "Best Skier in State" for the 2003-04 season. Hedberg also received a state-award for "outstanding academic performance" during the last year. Hedberg brings tremendous international racing experience to the team. His skills and knowledge about technique, tactics and speed will be a great resource to the Lobo Nordic squad. |
