UNM Ski at Red River Ski Area

The Lobos welcomed schools to their home turf in Red River, N.M. The meet was the only home event of the season for UNM

Sophomore (2012): Earned All-Academic Ski Team honors from the United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association...finished 13th in the giant slalom at the RMISA Alpine Qualifer...placed fourth in the slalom at the CU Invitational/Spencer Nelson Memorial...finished fifth in the slalom at the University of Denver Invitational...sustained a season-ending injury following the DU Invite.

Freshman (2011): Captured first place in the slalom at the Jade Enterprises/UNM Invitational (Feb. 5)...tied for third place with a time of 2:03:57 in the giant slalom at the RMISA/2011 NCAA West Region Championships (Feb. 26)...finished seventh (1:28.66) in the slalom at the Montana State Invitational (Jan. 16).

Personal: Born Feb. 3, 1991, in Kajaani, Finland...son of Jorma and Marja-Leena Penttinen...has three siblings: Jenni, Antti and Atte...studying business administration...enjoys golf, tennis, soccer and salsa dancing.
