Photos courtesy of Cory Ransom 02/11/2013 UNM Ski at Red River Ski AreaThe Lobos welcomed schools to their home turf in Red River, N.M. The meet was the only home event of the season for UNM 02/05/2011 Jade Enterprises / UNM InviteThe Lobo ski team competed in both Alpine and Nordic events in Red River, N.M. over the weekend. Senior (2013): Finished 13th in the slalom and 23rd in the giant slalom at the 2013 NCAAs...had three top-five finishes in 2013, including a season-best fourth place in the giant slalom at the RMISA Qualifier...finished fifth and 11th in the slalom and giant slalom at the 2013 RMISA Championships/NCAA West Regionals...led the Lobos in the slalom at the DU Invite, placing fifth, on Jan. 13...named the 2013 Patricia A. Abruzzo Scholarship recipient.
Junior (2012): Earned academic distinction as a Lobo Scholar-Athlete...had five top-20 finishes and four top-10 finishes...placed fourth in the giant slalom at the CU Invitational/Spencer Nelson Memorial on Jan. 7...took 20th in the slalom at the DU Invitaional...took second in the slalom and 10th in the giant slalom at the Alaska Anchorage Invitational...took 11th in the giant slalom and 13th in the slalom at the Seawolf Invitational...took 15th in the giant slalom and 16th in the slalom at the NCAA Qualifier...claimed eighth place in the giant slalom at the RMISA Championships/NCAA West Regional...placed 12th in the giant slalom and 13th in the slalom at the NCAA Championships on March 8 and 10. Sophomore (2011): Competed at the 2011 NCAA Skiing Championships, placing 14th in the giant slalom and 25th in the slalom...finished 10th in the giant slalom at the Denver Invitational (Feb. 13)...finished fifth in the slalom at the UNM Invitational (Feb. 5)...took fifth in the giant slalom and fifth in the slalom at the Montana State Invitational (Jan. 16)...finished ninth in the giant slalom and eighth in the slalom at the Utah Invitational (Jan.8).
Freshman (2010): Earned All-America second team honors for finishing ninth in the slalom at the NCAA Championships (March 13) in a time of 1:22.14...took sixth place in the slalom at the Utah Invitational with a time of 1:43.42 (Jan. 12)...recorded a third place finish in the slalom at the Montana State Invitational (Jan. 17).
Prior to UNM: Started racing at age 12 with the Park City ski team...J2 giant slalom national champion...two wins, nine top-3 finishes, 14 top-10 finishes in 2008-09 FIS and NorAm races.
Personal: Born July 31, 1989, in Santa Monica, Calif.,...daughter of Megan and Hunt Williams...has a brother, Hunt...dad played soccer at USC and semi pro with the Italian "B" team...plans to major in criminology...enjoys mountain biking and BBQs.
