The meet was the only home event of the season for UNM Freshman (2012) Earned academic distinction as a Lobo Scholar-Athlete...had four top-10 finishes in his freshman season...named UNM Ski team's Men's Freshman of the Year...finished seventh in the slalom and claimed fourth place in the giant slalom at the NCAA Qualifier on Feb. 22 and 23...at the RMISA Championships/NCAA West Regional (Feb. 24-25), finished fifth in the slalom and 10th in the giant slalom.
Prior to UNM: Graduated from Crater High School in Central Point, Ore., in 2008.
Personal: Born in Brunswick, Maine...son of Michael and Jenece Bansmer...has three siblings, Aleesa, Courtney and David...lettered in football in high school...hobbies include classic cars, mountain biking, and outdoor activities...favorite food is Thai food...favorite movie is Super Troopers...studying sports medicine.
