In 2009, Stocker assisted Martin Kroisleitner as the Alpine squad produced one of its top season's in program history. The 2009 Lobos won the Alpine portion of the NCAA Championships and were key to UNM's NCAA West Region/RMISA team championship. Stocker joins the Lobo program after one year as the head coach of the FIS Ausblick Ski Race team, and one season as an assistant coach at Sierra Nevada College. During the summers, Stocker serves as a coach at the Mount Hood Race Camps in Oregon from 2002-09. A native of Austria, Stocker was a member of the Steiermark provincial team from 1990-2003 and the Austrian National Ski team from 1996-2002. He attended Schigymnasium Stams, graduating in 1999. Stocker skied for Sierra Nevada College from 2003-07 while earning his bachelor's degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Psychology and International Business. He is currently working on his master's degree. |
