UNM Cheerleaders heading to UCA College National Championships

Along with cheering on the University of New Mexico Men's and Women's Basketball teams, the UNM Cheerleaders have been hard at work practicing. They will be attending the UCA College National Championships in Orlando, FL held at Walt Disneyworld from January 15-17th. The co-ed and all-girl cheer teams will be competing against other cheer teams from all around the country. Competition for the UNM teams begins on Saturday, January 16th and we wish them the best of luck!

The UNM Spirit Program spent the evening Thursday, December 3rd packing boxes to send to the troops oversees. All of the members donated approved items and organized them into boxes. They also signed personal holiday cards to send to the individual service men and women. Several members of the UNM Spirit Program have family members oversees and all were excited to be able to send needed items to the troops. Also, Comcast was generous enough to donate the cost of shipping the boxes for the Spirit Program.

The Fall Semester Begins for the UNM Spirit Program

The University of New Mexico Spirit Program started an exciting 2009 Fall Semester. For the first football game of the season, they traveled to Texas A&M to cheer on the Lobos vs. Aggies.

Cheer Teams take first at UCA College Cheer Camp

The University of New Mexico Co-ed Cheer Team, All-Girl Cheer Team and Mascots recently returned from the Universal Cheerleaders Association College Camp held July 18-21 at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX.
