Joe Franklin's track squad opens the 2012 indoor campaign with a host of talented newcomers

Walker returns to New Mexico as a Graduate Assistant, in her first year, working with the horizontal jumpers and everyday operations of the track and field team. As a student-athlete Walker was one of the top long jumpers in the country and in UNM history. She is the current school record holder in the Long Jump and a qualifying for the 2008 Olympic trials with a career best mark of 21'4".

Walker recently received her Bachelor's degree from the University of New Mexico in Psychology.
