Track & Field Honors• All-Midwest Region (5,000m - '09)• Outdoor All-MWC (5,000m/10,000m - '09) NEW MEXICO:Junior transfer from the University of Birmingham in England who enrolled at UNM in the fall of 2008...was one of the top runners in the Mountain West Conference in her memorable debut cross country season...potential NCAA qualifier and MWC title contender in the 5,000 and 10,000 this spring...long distance specialist who ran in the London Marathon from 2004-06 and was the top young marathoners in U.K. history...2008:(cross country) Turned in a sensational season in her American collegiate debut...led the nationally ranked Lobos in four races, including the NCAA Championships, and notched six top-30 finishes, including four times in the top-20, in her seven races...finished 56th with a season-best time of 20:53.0 to help UNM place 18th at the NCAA Championships...it was the best finish by a Lobo at the NCAA meet since 1988, while her time in the 6K was the fastest ever run by a Lobo at the national meet and best by a MWC runner since 2005...earned all-region honors with a 17th place finish (21:06.3) at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships...led for much of the race at the MWC Championships before finishing 7th to earn first team all-MWC honors (21:47) for the conference champion Lobos...began her UNM career with a wire-to-wire victory in the Lobo Invitational (5K) in her American collegiate debut and first career race at altitude...tied a program record by earning two MWC Athlete of the Week awards...Academic All-MWC... PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:Attended the University of Birmingham (England) from 2004-07...was the United Kingdom's top-ranked 10,000-meter runner under 23 in 2007 with a personal best of 36:05.93...clocked the time in a fourth place finish at the 2007 British University Championships...personal best of 16:35.12 in the 5,000 meters was recorded in an 11th place finish at the Great Britain National Championships/Olympic Trials in July of 2008...competed in the London Marathon from 2004-06 with a top time of 2:53.52 in '06...ranks No. 2 on the U.K. all-time list for marathoners under age 20....
