Prior to UNM Brobst was at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where he was in charge of working with the field events and assisting with the sprinters. During his time at the Academy of Art he saw a great deal of success, coaching Remiguis Rosckosh to over 25 feet in the Long Jump, placing him top-5 in the Division II rankings. He also coached Vashti Thomas to over 20 in the Long Jump. Prior to the Academy of Art, Brobst served as a graduate assistant at the University of New Mexico for 2 years. As a graduate assistant Brobst was responsible for coaching the horizontal jumpers and assisting with the sprints and hurdles. In 2010 Brobst was the meet director and coordinator for the high school meets hosted at the Albuquerque Convention Center. Under his direction the meets brought in high school athletes from New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, California, and other southwestern high schools. |
