2008: (outdoor) Came up just short of another trip to the NCAA Championships after a stirring late season run...finished eight spots above her seed to become the eighth and final qualifier for the 400m finals at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships...ran a season-best 53.49 to finish 6th in the finals - just 0.08 seconds out of 5th and an automatic bid to the NCAA meet...earned a spot on the all-region team for the second straight year...also qualified for the regional meet in the 200 with a season-best time of 23.74 (altitude adjusted) in a victory in her final home race...helped the 4x100 relay team become the first foursome in UNM history to advance to the regional meet...the group finished 11th at the Midwest Regionals after qualifying with an altitude adjusted time of 45.70 at home...earned all-MWC honors for the fourth straight year in the 400 with a 3rd place finish (53.98)...4th in the Olympic Development section at the Mt. 2006: (outdoor) MWC runner-up in the 400 to earn all-conference honors...shattered her own school record by 1.07 seconds, finishing with an altitude-adjusted time of 53.04...surpassed the NCAA regional qualifying standard 4 times and won 2 of her 4 400m races (finals only), along with a 200m title at UCSD...was seeded 10th in the 400 entering the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships in Austin, but finished 21st in the prelims (55.35)...led the team (6th MWC) with a season-best time of 24.11 in the 200...helped both the 4x100 and 4x400m relay teams record the fastest times at UNM since 2000 and finish the year ranked among the top-4 in the MWC...competed in 7 individual and 13 relay races in 9 meet appearances...Academic All-MWC honoree...(indoor) Broke the 16-year-old school record in the 400m, finishing 2nd at the MWC Championships in Albuquerque with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 54.27 (altitude adjusted)...became the first UNM woman ever to earn all-MWC honors in the event indoors...had competed just twice, finishing no better than eighth, before the MWC meet...also helped the 4x400m relay team erase a 22-year-old school record en route to a 5th place finish at the MWC Championships.
2005: (outdoor) Enjoyed a sensational rookie season...set the school record in the 400 with an altitude adjusted time of 54.11 en route to a third place finish and spot on the all-MWC team at the MWC Championship meet...finished 20th in the prelims of the 400 (55.47) in her NCAA Midwest Regional meet debut...seeded 15th entering the regional meet...finished 4th or better in 5 400m races, including wins at the Mesa (Ariz.) Classic and the Don Kirby Invite in Albuquerque...also earned all-MWC honors with the 4x100 relay team, helping the squad win 3 races...led the 4x400 relay team to a pair of victories...Academic All-MWC and MWC Scholar-Athlete Award winner...(indoor) Led the team in the 400 and had the team's 5th-fastest time in the 200 (25.81)...clocked a season-best time of 56.75 in the MWC Championship 400m prelims and went on to place 7th in the finals (56.91)...also ran on the 4x400 and DMR teams.
HIGH SCHOOL:A 2004 graduate of Carrizozo (N.M.) High School...5-year letterwinner for the class 1A Grizzlies, under head coach Mel Holland...captured 14 individual gold medals and an additional 4 relay titles in 5 New Mexico state track meet competitions...5-time 100 and 400-meter champion...swept the 100, 200, 400 and triple jump every year from 2002-04...was the top 100 and 400 runner in any class as a senior, winning both events at the all-class Marilyn Sepulveda meet...led Carrizozo to 3 consecutive 1A titles (2001-03)...member of the National Honor Society.
