Evans Paces Lobos to Solid Performances at New Mexico Classic

Sam Evans' personal record in the mile led a number of Lobos with new PRs.

HIGH SCHOOL

A hurdler coming out of La Cueva HS in Albuquerque...Has considerable experience in the 300 hurdles...Placed seventh at the 2012 New Mexico 3A-5A State Championships, running a 48.35 time...Took third-place honors at the Buddy Robertson Invitational in 2012 with a 49.04 time...Ran a personal best of 47.83 in the 300 hurdles at the 2011 New Mexico 3A-5A State meet, finishing second in the preliminary round and seventh overall...Part of the 1600-meter relay team that set a school at state record in 2011 with a time of 3:56.65.
