Former sprinter/multi-event athlete who has steadily improved since beginning full time distance training in the summer of `08...impressed the coaching staff with her dedication to distance running and went on to lead the team in the 3,000 steeplechase in her debut outdoor track season last spring...ranks third on the Lobos' all-time performers list in the event (11:06.09)...was also a strong contributor in the middle distance events...began her collegiate career at Colorado State in the fall of 2007 before returning home to Albuquerque in January of 2008...had to sit out the 2008 track and cross country seasons due to MWC transfer rules...has three years of eligibility left.

2010: (outdoor) Ran the third best time at New Mexico in the 1500-meters with a personal best time of 4:31.38 at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational at Cal Berkeley...finished 11th in the 800-meters at the MWC with a time of 2:18.28

2009: (cross country) Two early season meet appearances for the nationally-ranked Lobos.

2008-09: (outdoor) Led the team (6th MWC) in the 3,000 steeplechase with a time of 11:06.09 at Cal...pulled out of the event with an injury at the MWC Championships...ranked 2nd on the team (10th MWC), behind NCAA qualifier Ashley Gibson, in the 1,500m with a top time of 4:32.52 at the Mt. SAC Relays...Lobos' No. 2 800m runner as well (2:14.85)...raced 6 times in 6 meets...Academic All-MWC and MWC Scholar-Athlete Award winner...(indoor) MWC 800m finalist, scoring with an eighth place finish in Colorado Springs, Colo. (2:14.88)...led the team (10th MWC) with a season-best 2:14.78 at home on Jan. 31...Lobos' No. 3 (10th MWC) miler with a season-best 4:59.72 at Washington...earned all-MWC honors, running the opening leg (1,200m) for the Lobos' silver medal DMR team (12:08.80)...helped the mile relay team finish 7th...raced 8 times in 5 meets...(cross country) Sat out due to MWC transfer rules.

HIGH SCHOOL:

A 2007 graduate of Albuquerque La Cueva High School...named 2007 Gatorade and Albuquerque Tribune New Mexico Girl's Track & Field Athlete of the Year...two-time high point award winner at the class 5A state meet for head coach Jim Ciccarello...took home 4 gold medals as a senior, winning the 100m hurdles, 300m hurdles, 400m and anchoring the Bears' state champion 4x400m relay team...her remarkable double in the 300 hurdles and 400 came within a span of 20 minutes...part of 3 state championship teams at La Cueva (2004-05, 2007)...recorded PRs of 43.1 in the 300 hurdles, 14.69 in the 100 hurdles and 57.3 in the 400...also had bests of 2:20 in the 800 and 17-11.75 in the long jump...lettered 4 years in track & field and 3 years in cross country.
