Joe Franklin, despite resting a number of athletes, was still able to orchestrate a strong perfomance.

NEW MEXICO:

2011 Indoor: Recorded a 33'-4.5" shot put at the New Mexico Invitational in the shot put, finishing 13th, unattached.

2011 Outdoor: Competed in six meets throughout the season, all in the javelin...Had a season best throw of 189'-4" (57.70m) at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational at UC Berkeley, good for fifth place...Posted his second-best season mark at the UNM Tailwind Invitational, with a 55.20 meter throw, earning him a third-place finish (his highest finish all season along with the UTEP Invite)...Member of the Mountain West Conference team with a performance of 6th place in javelin.

HIGH SCHOOL:
