NEW MEXICO:

2010:(indoor)To add to his historic career he is the only Lobo to earn back-to-back NCAA titles at either NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championships (mile champion 2009 Indoor and 2010 Indoor)...ran a time of 3:59.26 to claim the 2010 indoor mile crown (2.37 seconds faster than the runner-up)...only Lobo to qualify for the indoor championships in the mile...swept the mile, 800-meters and DMR at the MWC Championships...ran the last leg of the DMR to take the gold...ran an altitude adjusted time of 4:00.53 in the mile to shatter the conference record...his two individual titles is the most at a conference championship since 1990 when New Mexico was a member of the WAC...MWC Indoor Athlete of the Year...(outdoor) finished 6th in the 1500-meters at the outdoor NCAA Championships for his fourth All-American honor...tied a school record with four All-American honors (only pole-vaulter Simon Arkell has four)...MWC Outdoor Athlete of the Year...captured the gold for the second time in his career in the 1500-meters at the MWC Championships...claimed the silver in the 800-meters at the MWC Championships...broke the New Mexico school record in the 5K with a time of 13:31.56 (now owns five different school records between indoor: 800-meters, mile and 3,000m and Outdoor: 1500m and the 5K)...was named MWC Athlete of the week eight different times in his three year career (three times between the 2010 indoor and outdoor seasons)

2009:
(cross country) Scored three times in five meets for the nationally ranked Lobos'...earned second team all-MWC honors with a 14th place finish (team No. 6) as New Mexico knocked off heavily favored BYU on the Cougars' home course for its first conference title since 1988...just missed a spot on the all-region team with a 27th place finish (Lobos' No. 5), helping UNM place third (77 points) at the NCAA Mountain Regional in Albuquerque...it was UNM's lowest score ever at the regional and best finish since `88...capped his XC career by running fourth on the team (115th overall) at the NCAA Championships as UNM set a program record by tying for eighth in the team standings...led the team (9th overall) at the season-opening Lobo Invite...Academic All-MWC.

2008-09
(outdoor) Capped the greatest year ever by a UNM middle distance runner with a third place finish in the NCAA 1,500 finals at Arkansas in front of a live national TV audience...kept himself in striking distance of the lead throughout the race, crossing the line in 3:39.66 - 0.66 behind the winner, Oklahoma State's German Fernandez...bronze medal matched the highest finish ever by a Lobo in the event...joined Matt Gonzales (2003) as the only Lobos since 1984 to medal on the track at the NCAA Outdoor Championships...he was the first UNM runner with multiple NCAA appearances in the 1,500...entered the meet as the No. 2 seed in the event after clocking a school record time of 3:37.25 on May 2 at Stanford (No. 1 in the MWC and Midwest Region)...needing only to finish the 1,500 finals at the NCAA Midwest Regional, he floated home to a ninth place finish one day after clocking the fastest prelim time...broke the 30-year-old school record for the first time when he clocked a meet record 3:37.99 in his first 1,500 of the year at the Mt. SAC Relays (April 17)...defeated the runner-up in the elite Invitational field of the event by 3 seconds en route to the fastest 1,500 in the nation at the time...was named MWC Athlete of the Week for his performance...also earned AOW honors after clocking a career-best and regional qualiyfing 800m time of 1:49.21 (altitude adjusted) to lead UNM to a home victory over a four-team field in his season debut at the inaugural Tailwind Invitational (April 11)...it was fastest 800 by a Lobo since 1986 and 7th on the all-time list...finished 5th in the 800m at the MWC Championships...Academic All-MWC.

(indoor) Turned in one of the greatest seasons ever by a UNM track & field athlete...voted MWC Men's Indoor Athlete of the Year after capturing the NCAA mile title at Texas A&M with a time of 4:00.36, becoming the first Lobo to win gold at the NCAA meet since 1977...was the first Lobo ever to qualify for the NCAAs in the mile and entered the race as the No. 5 seed...after being boxed in through a sluggish 400 meters, he escaped the pack and took the lead with roughly 700 meters to go...put away Wisconsin's Craig Miller (4:01.34) with a devastating kick over the final 100 meters...defeated the popular favorite Dorian Ulrey of Arkansas by 1.83 seconds...final 400m was timed in 54.81...teamed with 400m runner Jarrin Solomon (5th) to help the UNM men finish T-16th overall (14 points) - their first top-20 finish since 1984...finished the winter with the MWC's top times in the mile and 3,000m...became the Lobos' first sub 4-minute miler with his school record time of 3:57.91 at Notre Dame (Feb. 7) - his only individual mile race during the regular season...ran an unofficial mile split of 3:55 on the final leg of the Lobos' school record and NCAA qualifying DMR team on March 6 at Notre Dame...led the UNM team to a time of 9:30.38 - best in the MWC and unofficially the 14th fastest in NCAA history by a single school...school record time of 7:56.35 in the 3K at Washington (Feb. 14) was the 10th fastest in the nation...added another career best with an altitude adjusted time of 1:50.15 (No. 2 all-time at UNM) in a silver medal 800m performance at the MWC Championships...helped the Lobo DMR team finish 2nd (10:05.78) as well at the MWC meet, just 0.26 seconds behind BYU in the closest DMR race in MWC history.

(cross country) Turned in his best cross country season, scoring in all 6 meets and earning all-region honors at the NCAA Mountain Championships (17th, team No. 2)...22nd at the MWC Championships (team No. 5)...career-best 12th in the season-opening Lobo Invitational.

2007-08:
(outdoor) Tremendous spring, leading the team in both the 1,500 and 800...recorded a career-best (8th nationally) time of 3:40.77 in the 1,500 against a world-class field at on April 12 at Arizona State...time was the fastest in the MWC before the month of June and ranked third on the all-time list....went on to finish 7th at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships to become the first Lobo since 1979 to qualify for the NCAA Championships and second to earn all-region honors in the 1,500...finished 16th in the semifinals with a time of 3:44.58 - just 0.67 seconds shy of a berth in the finals...snapped BYU's 5-year winning streak in the 1,500 and became the Lobos' first gold medalist in the event since 1986 with his win at the MWC Championships (3:47.62)...also recorded the fastest preliminary 800m time at the MWC Championships (1:51.19), but ran out of gas after his 1,500 win and finished 9th in the finals...career-best and NCAA regional qualifying 800m time of 1:50.16 (April 26 victory at Cal) was 4th in the MWC...9 races on the season, with 2 wins...MWC Athlete of the Week honoree following his performance at ASU.

(indoor) Raced 5 times, leading the team in the mile and 800m...ran under the NCAA provisional qualifying standard in the mile 2 times...broke a 24-year-old school record in his first collegiate mile race, clocking a time of 4:02.47 at Notre Dame (Feb. 9)...time ranked 3rd in the MWC and 34th nationally...earned all-MWC honors with a third place finish in the event at the MWC Championships (4:14.62 - altitude adjusted)...also helped the Lobo distance medley team earn a silver medal (9:57.83) at the MWC meet...opened the season with a time of 1:52.15 in the 800 at Northern Arizona...time was the fastest by a Lobo since 1985 at ranked 4th in the MWC...earned MWC Athlete of the Week honors after his performance in South Bend.

(cross country) Was one of 2 UNM men to appear in 6 meets...scored 4 times, running 4th on the team and 36th overall (31:47) in his first 10K at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships...24th at the MWC Championships...clocked a season-best 8K time of 24:58 at the NCAA Pre-Nationals meet in Terre Haute, Ind...led the Lobos' B team and was 5th overall at New Mexico State...Academic All-MWC.
