their first top-20 finish since 1984...finished the winter with the MWC's top times in the mile and 3,000m...became the Lobos' first sub 4-minute miler with his school record time of 3:57.91 at Notre Dame (Feb. 7) - his only individual mile race during the regular season...ran an unofficial mile split of 3:55 on the final leg of the Lobos' school record and NCAA qualifying DMR team on March 6 at Notre Dame...led the UNM team to a time of 9:30.38 - best in the MWC and unofficially the 14th fastest in NCAA history by a single school...school record time of 7:56.35 in the 3K at Washington (Feb. 14) was the 10th fastest in the nation...added another career best with an altitude adjusted time of 1:50.15 (No. 2 all-time at UNM) in a silver medal 800m performance at the MWC Championships...helped the Lobo DMR team finish 2nd (10:05.78) as well at the MWC meet, just 0.26 seconds behind BYU in the closest DMR race in MWC history. (cross country) Turned in his best cross country season, scoring in all 6 meets and earning all-region honors at the NCAA Mountain Championships (17th, team No. 2)...22nd at the MWC Championships (team No. 5)...career-best 12th in the season-opening Lobo Invitational. 2007-08: (indoor) Raced 5 times, leading the team in the mile and 800m...ran under the NCAA provisional qualifying standard in the mile 2 times...broke a 24-year-old school record in his first collegiate mile race, clocking a time of 4:02.47 at Notre Dame (Feb. 9)...time ranked 3rd in the MWC and 34th nationally...earned all-MWC honors with a third place finish in the event at the MWC Championships (4:14.62 - altitude adjusted)...also helped the Lobo distance medley team earn a silver medal (9:57.83) at the MWC meet...opened the season with a time of 1:52.15 in the 800 at Northern Arizona...time was the fastest by a Lobo since 1985 at ranked 4th in the MWC...earned MWC Athlete of the Week honors after his performance in South Bend. (cross country) Was one of 2 UNM men to appear in 6 meets...scored 4 times, running 4th on the team and 36th overall (31:47) in his first 10K at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships...24th at the MWC Championships...clocked a season-best 8K time of 24:58 at the NCAA Pre-Nationals meet in Terre Haute, Ind...led the Lobos' B team and was 5th overall at New Mexico State...Academic All-MWC.
