UNM Track - January 2012

The Lobos start to 2012 year by travelling to the NAU Open and hosting the Cherry & Silver and the New Mexico Invite.

NEW MEXICO:

2011 Indoor: Finished fifth in the 800 meter at the Lobo Open, running in 2:01.91...10th-place finish in the mile at the Cherry and Silver Invitational, posting a 4:25.69 time.

2011 Outdoor: Ran a 9:08.12 in the 3000 meter run at the New Mexico Tailwind Invitational, good for 17th place, unattached...Registered a 19th-place finish in the 1500 meter run at the Sun Angel Classic at Arizona State, finishing 4:04.07.

2010 Outdoor: Ran a career best time of 1:56.31 in the 800-meters at the Don Kirby Invitational for 5th place...Ran an altitude adjusted time of 3:51.78 at the MWC Championships in the 1500-meters for 9th place.

2009 Indoor: Raced 3 times with a top mile time of 4:28.77...Won the men's 1000 meter run with a 2:41.77 time.

2009 Outdoor: Raced 3 times, including an 11th-place finish at the UTEP Invitational in the 3000 meter run with a time of 9:19.61.

2008 Indoor: Redshirt season.

2008 Outdoor: Raced 7 times, primarily in the 1.500m...Ranked 5th on the team with a season-best 3:56.44 at Cal ...13th in the event at the MWC Championships...Picked up his first collegiate victory in the 1,500 at home in the Don Kirby Invite.

A 2007 graduate of Albuquerque La Cueva High School...Lettered 4 times in track and 3 times in cross country...5A state champion in the mile (4:23.56) and runner-up in the 3,200m (9:51.92) as a senior...2-time all-state honoree and district champion in cross country...Finished 6th at the 5A state meet as a senior...Helped La Cueva win a pair of state track titles and the 2004 state cross country crown.
