NEW MEXICO:

NCAA Indoor and Outdoor qualifier in the 5,000m last year and a two-time all-region cross country runner...one of the best distance runners in the country when healthy who will be an All-America candidate in the 5K in 2010...became the third man in UNM history to run under 13:40 in the 5K last spring (13:39.85)...also ranks eighth (3:46.09) on the Lobos' all-timer 1,500 performers list...earned a pair of silver medals at the MWC Indoor Championships in the 5K and DMR...very personable off the track and has become one of national track website Flotrack.org's favorite interviews...just as sharp in the classroom with a 3.81 graduate GPA...former member of the Great Britain Junior National Team who arrived in Albuquerque from Leeds Metropolitan College in the fall of 2008...three-time Academic All-MWC.

2010 Outdoor: Out most of the season with an injury...ran his first outdoor race in early May at the Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational at Stanford in the 5,000-meters with a time of 14:04.07...finished 3rd at the MWC Championships in the 5K with a time of 14:40.35 to earn the Lobos six points...qualified for the NCAA Regionals in Austin, Texas but missed qualifying for the Championships in Eugene, Ore. by three-tenths of a second

2009:
(cross country) Scored in four of his six meet appearances for the nationally ranked Lobos'...came on strong when it mattered most late in the year...ran fourth on the team and eighth overall (second team all-MWC) at the MWC Championships, helping New Mexico knock off heavily favored BYU on the Cougars' home course...it was the Lobos' first conference title since 1988 and snapped a five-year BYU winning streak...went on to earn all-region honors with a seventh place finish (Lobos' No. 2), helping UNM place third (77 points) at the NCAA Mountain Regional in Albuquerque...it was UNM's lowest score ever at the regional and best finish since `88...capped his XC career by running second on the team (63rd overall) at the NCAA Championships as UNM set a program record by tying for eighth in the team standings...Academic All-MWC.

2008-09:
(outdoor) Was the first UNM long distance runner ever to qualify for both the NCAA Outdoor and Indoor meets in the same year...finished 26th (14:46.51) in the 5,000m as he and teammate Jacob Kirwa became the first Lobos since 1989 to run the event at the NCAA Outdoor Championships...entered the meet as the No. 7 seed...secured the bid with career best time of 13:39.85 at the Mt. SAC Relays (April 17) and a 9th place finish at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships at Oklahoma...5K time led the team, ranked 2nd in the MWC, 12th nationally, and ranked him 3rd on the UNM all-time list...6th in the 5K at the MWC Championships...also ran a regional qualifying time of 3:46.09 to win his section in his lone 1,500m race at Stanford (May 2)...Academic All-MWC and MWC Scholar Athlete Award winner.

(indoor) Capped his debut track season with an 11th place finish (14:10.35) - matching his seed - at the NCAA Championships...was the 2nd Lobo ever to qualify for the event indoors...earned an at-large bid to the national meet with a provisional qualifying and MWC best time of 13:49.57 on Feb. 14 at Washington...also hit the provisional standard with an altitude adjusted time of 8:03.75 (Jan. 31 in Albuquerque) that ranked 2nd on the team and 4th in the MWC...MWC runner-up in the 3K (altitude adjusted 8:11.50) and helped the Lobos win a silver medal in the closest DMR race in conference history, finishing 0.26 seconds behind BYU with an adjusted time of 10:02.27...2 wins in 5 individual races.

(cross country) Scored in all 6 meets, running second on the team 3 times...earned all-region honors with a 23rd place finish (team's No. 4) at the NCAA Mountain Championships...9th at the MWC Championships (team's No. 2) to earn 2nd team all-MWC honors...season-best 6th place finish in his American debut in the Lobo Invitational.

Attended Leeds Metropolitan University in Leicester, England...personal bests of 3:45.45 in the 1,500 and 13:49.02 both recorded in 2008...16th in the 5,000 at the '08 Great Britain Olympic Trials...has competed for the Great Britain Junior National team and Team GB at the World University meet.
