NEW MEXICO:Rookie long distance runner who gained valuable experience and displayed good potential in her debut cross country season. 2003: (cross country) Ran with the Lobos' top-7 in all six meets...scored in a pair of races and notched a season-best finish of 17th at the Canyon West Classic, helping the UNM women earn their first victory in five years...season-best 6K time of 25:11 at the MWC Championships...academic all-MWC honoree.
HIGH SCHOOL:Five-time track and cross country letterwinner and three-time all-state cross country runner at Pojoaque (N.M.) High School, under head coach Allan Lockridge...helped the Elkettes capture three 3A state titles and four district championships...four-time all-district honoree, 2002 All-Harrier Team selection and ran the 800 on the PHS 3A medley championship team...named PHS 2002-03 Athlete of the Year...also earned a letter in basketball...Pojoaque student body president and graduated third in her class.
