NEW MEXICO:One of the top javelin talents in UNM women's history...an all-MWC honoree and Midwest Regional qualifier in the event last year...could make a run at the school record and perhaps an NCAA berth this spring...standout in the classroom as well, earning Academic All-MWC honors the past three years.2004: (outdoor) Led New Mexico in the javelin for the third straight year...became the first UNM woman to earn all-conference honors with her third place finish (146-06) at the MWC Championship meet...placed 13th at the Midwest Regional meet with a throw of 142-10...had a career-best throw of 152-01 at home in the Don Kirby Invitational...mark was ranked 2nd in the MWC and 7th in the Midwest region...surpassed the regional qualifying standard four times during the season and recorded five top-3 finishes in eight meets...Academic All-MWC honoree. 2003: (outdoor) Established herself as one of the league's top javelin threats...surpassed the NCAA regional standard five times, including a season-best throw of 141-01 to win the event at the UTEP Twilight meet...scored for the first time at the MWC Championships, finishing sixth with a mark of 139-02...placed 15th at the Midwest Regional meet, 13 spots above her seeding of 28th, with a throw of 136-01...three victories on the season...Academic all-MWC honoree. 2002: (outdoor) UNM's top-ranked javelin thrower (14th MWC)...top throw of 125-10 was good for third at Modrall Sperling Lobo Open...winner at the NMSU Springtime Classic and was fourth at the Don Kirby Invitational...Academic All-MWC honoree. HIGH SCHOOL:2001 New Mexico state javelin champion and co-champion in the event at the prestigious Great Southwest Track Meet in Albuquerque...also captured a pair of district javelin titles and set the Carlsbad (N.M.)
