UNM hosts the New Mexico Invitational, their second of four home meets, Jan. 25-26 at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
The UNM track and field team takes on the MW at the conference championships in Colorado Springs, Colo., May 9-12.
2012 Indoor: Competed a four meets, including the conference championships...Placed second in the mile run at the New Mexico Invitational...Took third in the 3000-meter run at the prestigous Washington Husky Classic with a career-best time of 9:40.52...Claimed runner-up honors in the mile (5:04.10 adjusted) and fourth in the 3K (9:39.69 adjusted) at the Mountain West Indoor Championships, good for a spot on the All-MW Women's Indoor Team.
2012 Outdoor: Ran at six meets for the Lobos, primarily in the 3000-meter steeplechase and the 1500...Opened the season with a second-place mark in the steeplechase of 10:34.81 (adjusted)...Registered a career-best and team-high time of 4:25.24 in the 1500 at the Bryan Clay Invitational, finishing third...Notched a fifth-place clocking of 10:57.86 (adjusted) at the MW Outdoor Championships...Competed for UNM in the 1500 at the First Round of the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, placing 38th overall with a 4:37.45 time.
