HIGH SCHOOLCompeted in track and football at DeSoto High School in DeSoto, Texas...Won the 100 at the Region 2-5A Meet with a 10.54 time and placed second at the District 11-5A Meet with a personal-best 10.36 time...Ran a 10.57 in the 100 atUIL Track and Field Championship, placing fifth...Broke the Lancaster, Texas, city record in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.42 seconds...Also ran with DeSoto's sprint relay teams, were they won every single 4x100 and all but one 4x200 his senior yeear, including victories at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays (4x100 and 4x200) and the UIL Track and Field Championship (4x100)...As a football player, Jones was one of several Division I prospects from DeSoto High School...Was an 11-5A first-team All-District performer his senior year when he racked up23 receptions for 397 yards and four TDs.
