Lobos Heading to Air Force Triangular to Beat Falcons, Bears

New Mexico's track & field team is taking on Air Force and Northern Colorado at the Air Force Triangular on Friday.

NORTH CAROLINA

Transferred to the University of North Carolina from the University of Washington after her sophomore year as a Husky...Competed an indoor and outdoor season as a Tar Heel, leaving Chapel Hill with some remaining eligibility.

2012 Indoor: Placed 11th in the mile at the 2012 New Balance Collegiate Invitational with a 4:46.63 clocking...Won the 3000 at the Gene Anderson UNC Invitational, racing a 9:44.43 time, to the only sub-10 minute time in the field...Claimed ninth in the 5000 at the ACC Indoor Championships, finishing in 16:39.14.

2011 Indoor: Did not compete during indoor season.

2011 Outdoor: Finished fourth in the 10,000 at the ACC Outdoor Championships with a 34:38.06 time...Competed in the 5,000 and 10,000 at NCAA Regionals, finishing second (16:15.37) and 14th (33:57.81) in the preliminary rounds, respectively...Clocked a 15:52.33 to finish ninth in the 5,000 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, good enough to earn Second-Team All America status.

WASHINGTON

2010 Indoor: Competed twice, both times in the 3000...Finished fourth at theMountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships, placing 4th with a 9:27.94 time...Posted a personal-record time of 9:20.53 at the Washington Last Chance, placing third...In cross country,repeated as the Pac-10 Athlete of the Year and placed 2nd at the NCAA Championships to match the best finish ever by a Husky

2009 Indoor & Outdoor:Redshirted the season to preserve a year of eligibility...Competed once unattached, winning the 1,500-meters at the Ken Shannon Invite in a time of 4:23.55 that would have been a Regional qualifier...In cross country, wasnamed the Pac-10 Conference Athlete of the Year and led the Huskies to the school's first NCAA Championship while placing 12th at the NCAA Championships, earning All-American honors and winning the Pac-10 individual championship with the conference meet record.

INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

2009: Had a busy summer running mostly in Canada...Won the Canadian Junior National Championship at 1,500-meters by nearly four seconds in a meet-record 4:20.50, and then gapped the field by 40 seconds to win the 3,000-meter title in another meet record time of 9:14.62...Also competed at the Canadian Senior Nationals, taking second in the 5,000-meters in a PR of 15:52.74, which would have ranked 5th in school history.

HIGH SCHOOL

Canada's top junior distance runner in 2008...Won the Canadian Junior Cross Country Championships in 2007...Placed 20th overall at the 2008 World Junior Cross Country Championships in Scotland, the top finisher for Team Canada...Placed 7th in the 5000-meters at the World Junior Track and Field Championships in Poland, and finished 13th in the 1500-meters...Won the junior women's 4K at the 2008 NACAC Cross Country Championships, leading Canada to the title over the U.S....Swept provincial titles her junior and senior years, winning the cross country titles as well as winning the 800m, 1500m, and 3000m runs on the track both years, setting numerous provincial records...Finished 2nd in the 5K at the Victoria International Track Classic, running a personal-best of 16:05...Won the 1500m at the Harry Jerome meet in 4:20, a personal best...Was 3rd in the 3K at 2008 Canadian Junior Nationals, and 4th in the 1500m
