NEW MEXICO:2011 Indoor: Ran in four meets...Began the season with a 4:31.75 mile run at the Cherry & Silver Invitational...Placed 11th out of 38 in the 3000m run at the New Mexico Invitational, finishing in 8:43.99...Notched a 14:40.91 time in the 5000m run at the UW Husky Classic...Finished 12th at the 5000m run at the MWC Indoor Championships with a mark of 15:09.80...Notched an 18th-place finish in the 3000m run at the conference championships as well. 2011 Outdoor: Ran unattached at the New Mexico Tailwind Invitational, posting a 4th-place finish with a time of 8:48.09. 2010 Indoor: Ran at five meets in the mile, 3000m run and 5000m run...Opened the season as runner up in the 3000m run at the Lobo Opener, clocking in at 8:53.33...Placed seventh in the 1 mile run at the Cherry & Silver Invitational, finishing in 4:24.98...Finished 13th out of 27 in the 3000m run at the New Mexico Invitational, posting a 8:40.32 time...Registered a 14:39.25 time in the 5000m run at the UW Husky Classic...Tallied a pair of top-20 finished at the MWC Indoor Championships: Finished 17th in the 5000m run (time of 15:48.39) and finished 12th in the 3000m run (time of 8:46.24). 2010 Outdoor: Ran in four different meets...Recorded a personal best in the 800-meters at the UTEP Invitational with a time of 2:04.05...Finished 10th at the MWC Championships in the 10,000-meters with a time of 33:05.06 (personal best)...Lead the Lobos with a 6th place finish in the 5,000-meters at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational at Cal Berkeley with a time of 14:46.65...Clocked a 34:03.77 time in the 10000m run at the MWC Outdoor Championships, good for 10th. 2009 Indoor: Clocked a9:20.66 time in the 3000m run at the New Mexico Classic, good for 12th overall and third in his heat. 2009 Outdoor: Participated in six competitions...Started the season with a fourth-place finish in the 3000m run at the UTEP Invitational, clocking in at 8:57.12...Followed that performance up with a 4:16.04 time in the 1500m run at the New Mexico Tailwind Invitational, good for eighth overall...At the Brutus Hamilton Invitational, Ortiz notched a 4:05.23 time in the 1500m run and a 14th place finish in the 5K with a time of 15:07.01...Atthe Don Kirby Invitational, Ortiz registered a 13th-place finish in the 1500m run, finishing in 4:15.59, and a fourth-place finish in the 5K with a time of 15:52.66. 2008 Indoor:Redshirt season. 2008 Outdoor:Raced in two competitions...3rd in the 3,000 at the UTEP Invitational.
