2012 MW Outdoor Championships

The UNM track and field team takes on the MW at the conference championships in Colorado Springs, Colo., May 9-12.

NEW MEXICO

2012 Indoor: Competed a five meets, including the conference championships...Opened with a 23.37* mark in the 200 at the NAU Lumberjack Open, placing 20th...Placed 25th in the long jump at the Cherry & Silver Invitational with a 21-8 leap...Competed in the 60, 200 and long jump at the New Mexico Invitational, placing 21st in the 200 (23.37*) and fourth in the long jump (22-1)...Notched a season best in the long jump at the Mountain West Championships, tying for eighth with a 23 1/2 mark.

2012 Outdoor: Participated at five meets, primarily in the long jump...Claimed 12th at the Don Kirby Tailwind in the long jump with a 22-7 3/4 mark, and took 14th at the UTEP Invitational with a wind-aided mark of 22-8...Posted a career-best leap of 23-2 1/2 at the Beach Invitational, placing 19th...Took sixth at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational with a 23-1 1/4 mark...At the MW Championships, placed 12th with a 22 1/4 leap.

2011 Indoor: Opened the season at the Lobo Opener, competing in the long jump, triple jump and the 60m dash, finaling in the two jumps, where he finished third in the long jump (21'-10.75"/6.98m) and second in the triple jump (44'-11.5"/13.70m)...Placed eighth in the long jump at the Cherry & Silver Invitational, reaching 22'-7.25" (6.89m)...Posted a tenth-place finish in the long jump at the New Mexico Invitational, flying 22'10" (6.69m).

2011 Outdoor: Participated at six meets in the long jump and 100m run...Opened with a seventh-place finish in the long jump at the Arizona State Invitational with a mark of 23'-1.25" (7.04m)...Notched a 4th-place finish in the long jump at the New Mexico Tailwind Invitational, reaching 23'-2.5" (7.07m)...Placed seventh in the long jump at the UTEP Invitational with a mark of 22'7" (6.88m)...Registered a 22'-1.5" (6.74m) mark in the long jump at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational at Cal-Berkeley, good for seventh...Placed tenth in the long jump at the MWC Outdoor Championships with a mark of 22'-7.75" (6.90m).
