Don Kirby Invitational

The Lobos played host to some of the premier institutions across the nation at the Don Kirby Invite, Feb. 10, 2012.

NEW MEXICO:

2011 Indoor: Competed in six meets, all in the pole vault...First-place finish at the Lobo Open with a mark of 12'-5.50" (3.80m)...Finished sixth at the Cherry and Silver Invitational, reaching a season-best 13'-1.50" (4.00m)...Second place at the UNM Invitational with a mark of 12'-9.50" (3.90m)...Notched another sixth-place finish at New Mexico Classic & Multis, vaulting 12'-9.50" (3.90m)...Logged back-to-back fourth-place finishes at the Don Kirby Invite, with a mark of 12'10" (3.91m), and the MWC Indoor Championship, with a similar mark of 12'-10.25" (3.92m).

2011 Outdoor: Pole vaulted at eight different meets...Third-place finish in the pole vault at the UNM Tailwind Invitational with a mark of 13'-0.75" (3.98m)...Recorded a personal-best mark of approximately 13'-3.75" (4.06m) at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, finishing less than 0.01 inches off of first...Finished fifth at the UTEP Invitational, vaulting 12'-11.75" (3.96m)...Sixth place at the Brutus Invitational with a mark of 12'2" (3.71m)...Notched tenth place at the Steve Scott Invitational, reaching 11'9" (3.58m)...Fifth-place finish at the MWCOutdoorChampionships, reaching 12'-0.75" (3.68m)...Participated in the NCAA Division I West Regionals in Eugene, Ore.
