NEW MEXICO:One of the top long jumpers in the country who should challenge for an NCAA Championship berth this year if she doesn't redshirt (has both seasons available)...UNM indoor and outdoor record holder, 2008 MWC outdoor silver medalist, and U.S. Olympic Trials participant in the event...went over 20 feet 6 times in 2008, including 2 jumps of 21 feet or more...also an excellent sprinter and key member of the Lobos' 4x100 relay team...2008: (outdoor) Established herself as one of the nation's top young long jumpers...broke Lavern Clarke's 18-year-old UNM record, qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials, and became the first Lobo to advance to the NCAA Regional in the long jump with a career-best mark of 21-04.00 at UTEP on April 12...jump was the best in the MWC, and T-6th nationally...won the silver medal in the event at the MWC Championships with a jump of 21-00.00 - the best by a Lobo at the MWC meet and No. 2 on the Championships list...lost on a tie-breaker to defending champion Janay DeLoach, a senior All-American from Colorado State...entered the NCAA Midwest Regional meet as the No. 2 seed, but jumped under 20 feet for the first time all season and placed 22nd (18-10.00)...went on to finish 22nd (19-06.25) in the qualifying round of the U.S. Olympic Trials...won the LJ at the Texas Relays (section B) and at the home meet in Albuquerque...surpassed the NCAA regional qualifying standard and finished 1st or 2nd in all four regular season LJ competitions...also led the team in the 100 (career-best 11.93) and was 2nd in the 200 (collegiate best 24.66)...helped the Lobos' 4x100 team advance to the NCAA Regionals for the first time in program history with a season-best time of 45.70 in Albuquerque...the squad placed 5th at the MWC Championships and 11th at the Midwest Regional meet...14 competitions in 7 meets (6 LJ)... (indoor) Became the first UNM woman to long jump over 20 feet indoors en route to a 4th place finish (20-00.25) at the MWC Championships...broke her own record a week later with a NCAA provisional qualifying leap of 20-01.50 to win the event at a last chance meet in Seattle...also led the team in the 60 (career-best 7.70) and 200 (25.24)...12 competitions in 5 meets... 2007: (outdoor) Led the team (7th MWC) in the long jump with a top mark of 19-05.50 recorded at USC on March 24...went on to finish 8th in the event at the MWC Championships (19-02.50)...won the LJ at Arizona State (19-04.75) and Arizona (19-02.50)...runner-up at the Don Kirby Invite in Albuquerque (18-11.75)...ranked 2nd on the team (top-20 MWC) in the 100 (12.22) and 200 (24.69)...also helped the 4x100 relay team clock its fastest time of the year, but an injury kept her out of the lineup at the MWC Championship meet...17 competitions in 7 meets...(indoor) Ranked 2nd on the team in the long jump (18-05.00 - 11th MWC), 60m (7.76 - T-17th MWC) and 200m (24.74 - T-11th MWC)...13th in the long jump (17-10.75), 10th in the 200 (24.74) and 15th in the 60 (7.76) at the MWC Championships meet...15 competitions in 5 meets... HIGH SCHOOL:A 2006 graduate of Killeen (Texas) Ellison High School...ranked among the nation's best in the long jump as a senior, winning the Texas class 4A state long jump title with a lifetime best and school record leap of 19-07.75...also claimed regional and district LJ crowns in '06...a talented sprinter as well, placing second in the 200m at the '06 district meet with a PR time of 24.39...time was ranked 6th in class 4A...also recorded a PR of 37-03.50 in a rare triple jump appearance at the district meet...helped lead Ellison to a pair of district titles and 3 regional crowns...was also recruited by the University of Miami...lettered in volleyball as well...PERSONAL:Born April 9, 1988 in Ft.
