NEW MEXICO:One of the Lobos' most talented and versatile sprinters and a finalist in the 100 and 200 last year...competitive at any distance from 60 to 400 meters and is a valuable member of both relay teams...set the UNM indoor record in the 60-meter dash as a true freshman...can also contribute in the long jump if needed...was elected senator for the UNM student body government...2005: (outdoor) Ranked third on the team in both the 100 and 200...recording career-best times of 10.82 and 21.61, respectively, in the MWC Championship prelims...finished 5th in the 200 finals (21.89) and was 6th in the 100 finals (11.03)...ran the anchor leg for the Lobos' all-MWC 4x400 team (2nd)...was poised to lead the 4x100 team to a gold medal, but ran out of his zone on the final exchange...five top-5 finishes...Academic All-MWC honoree...(indoor) Owned the team's No. 2 time and was ranked 10th in the MWC in the 60, clocking an adjusted time of 7.01 in the finals (7th) at Texas Tech...had the Lobos' fourth-fastest 200 time (22.49)... 2004: (outdoor) Ranked ninth in the MWC and second on the team with a top 100-meter time of 10.94 (altitude adjusted)...just missed the league finals in the event, finishing 10th in the prelims at the MWC Championships...ran three 200m races, clocking a top time of 22.05...ran the third leg on the Lobos' top 4x100m relay team and was a member of the 4x400 squad as well...(indoor) Recorded a school record in just his second career 60m competition at Northern Arizona...timed his start perfectly, blasting out of the blocks ahead of the rest of the field to win the race in an altitude-adjusted time of 6.91, the fifth-fastest in the MWC...also placed third in the 200 and was fifth in the long jump at NAU, helping the Lobos sweep the triangular competition...mistimed his start, unfortunately, in the 60m prelims at the MWC Championships and was disqualified...notched season-bests of 22.13 in the 200 and 21-04.25 in the LJ... HIGH SCHOOL:Three-year letterwinner in track and field at Hobbs (N.M.) High School...5A state finalist in the 100 (4th), 200 (3rd) and triple jump (6th) as a senior...helped Hobbs sweep medley, mile and 800m relay titles at the 2003 state meet...won district title in the 100 and was second in the 200...set Hobbs triple jump record and helped his team capture the medley relay record...named HHS Best All-Around Athlete...also lettered three years in football and swimming...class president as a junior and vice president as a senior...PERSONAL:Born May 28, 1985, in Albuquerque, N.M...age is 20...nickname is Chewy...son of Rubin and Josie White...has two younger siblings, Bionca (16) and A.J.
