The final day of the Modrall Sperling Don Kirby Memorial Invitational track and field meet on Saturday, March 22 has been cancelled. The men's and women's decathlon and heptathlon will go on as scheduled on Thursday and Friday, March 20-21, at Great Friends of UNM Track Stadium. However, many of the teams scheduled to attend Saturday's final day of competition are unable to travel due to heavy snows which have gripped much of Colorado.

New Mexico returns to action next week, March 28-29, with split squad competition at the Stanford Invitational and at UTEP's Springtime Invitational in El Paso, Texas. The Lobos' next home meet will be May 14-17 when UNM hosts the 2003 Mountain West Conference Outdoor Championships.
