Outstanding middle distance runner on the track who was also an all-region cross country runner for the Lobos last year...coaches expect him to be one of the leaders of a strong men's team this fall...had little to no experience running cross country before his 2008 debut, but arrived at UNM with a solid distance resumé...won the 2007 British University 3,000m title for the University of Wales, Cardiff before transferring to New Mexico in fall of 2008.

2008-09: (outdoor) Ranked 4th on the team in the 1,500 with an NCAA regional qualifying time of 3:46.79 (April 10 at Arizona State)...matched his seed with a 10th place finish (3:54.23) in the event finals at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships in Norman, Okla...7th in the 1,500 at the MWC Championships...competed in 6 1,500 races and paced a pair of 5Ks...Academic All-MWC and MWC Scholar Athlete Award winner.
(indoor) Earned all-MWC honors in the mile (3rd) and DMR (2nd), and helped the Lobos' qualify their first DMR team to the NCAA Championships (at Texas A&M)...just missed an individual berth to the NCAAs in the mile...finished the season ranked 16th nationally and 2nd in the MWC, behind NCAA champion teammate Lee Emanuel, with a career-best and NCAA provisional qualifying time of 4:00.38 (Feb. 14 at Washington) that was also the 2nd-fastest in UNM history...ran the lead leg (1,200m), joining Emanuel to lead the MWC's top ranked (No. 8 nationally) DMR team that obliterated the school record with a time of 9:30.38 at Notre Dame's last chance meet (March 6)...time was unofficially the 14th-fastest by a single school in NCAA history...had the Lobos' in contention at the first exchange at the NCAA Championships, but running without Emanuel, the squad finished 18th (9:52.43)...anchored (mile) the Lobos' silver medal team at the MWC Championships that finished just 0.26 seconds behind BYU in the closest DMR race in league history...raced 8 times in 6 meet appearances.
(cross country) Scored in all five meets, leading the team at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships (14th) and Roy Griak Invitational (17th)...all-region honoree...19th at the MWC Championships (team No. 4)...9th in his American debut in the Lobo Invitational.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:

Attended the University of Wales, Cardiff in the United Kingdom...won the British University indoor 3,000m title in 2007 with a career-best time of 8:13.75...helped UWIC win the overall team championship at the meet...recorded personal bests of 1:52.95 in the 800 (2007), 3:45.82 in the 1,500 (2008) and 14:43.49 in the 5,000 (2008)...top 5,000 time came in a fourth place finish at the British University Outdoor Championships.
