New Mexico:Strong, experienced fifth-year senior who is coming off his best collegiate cross country season...has been an unassuming force in the UNM top-7 and continued to improve every year since walking-on to the program in 2000...standout in the classroom as well, earning academic all-MWC honors five times in cross country and track.2004: (outdoor) Wrapped up his collegiate track career by becoming the first Lobo to score in the 3,000m steeplechase at the MWC Championships...placed 8th in just his second career steeplechase race...scored at the outdoor championships for the first time since he was a true freshman...appeared in six meets on the season...academic all-MWC honoree...(indoor) Owned the Lobos' fourth-fastest 3,000 time, running a 8:32.64 in a fourth place finish at Houston...competed in six other races, recording a top finish of third in the mile at Texas Tech. 2003: (cross country) Carried the UNM flag all year, leading the team in all six meets...recorded a pair of second place finishes to lead the Lobos to victory at the pre-conference meet and Canyon West Classic...placed 18th at the MWC Championships, just four spots shy of all-conference honors...notched his top 8K time of 25:10 in the season-opener at the UNM North Golf Course...academic all-MWC honoree...(outdoor) Outstanding season, notching four top-three finishes, including his first career victory in the 1,500m at the UTEP Twilight meet...was ninth in the 1,500 at the MWC Championships...clocked the Lobos' fourth-fastest 800 (1:56.58) and 1,500m (3:50.73) times...academic all-MWC honoree...(indoor) Competed in eight races (800, mile, 3,000)...second place finish in the mile at NAU...clocked the team's second-fastest mile time (4:15.89) at Nebraska. 2002: (cross country) Stepped up and shouldered a pivotal scoring load when injuries ravaged the team late in the season...improved 16 spots from 2001, to finish 22nd (4th on team) at the MWC Championships...second on the team at the Pre-National Invitational...recorded personal-best times in the 8K (24:55) and 10K (33:04)...MWC's 14th-ranked 8K runner...three top-25 finishes...academic all-MWC honoree...(outdoor) Owned the team's second-fastest time in the 800 (1:54.13) and was No. 5 in the 1,500 (3:53.12)...ranked among the MWC top-15 in both events...three top-four finishes...academic all-MWC honoree...(indoor) Competed in three meets and clocked the team's fifth-fastest 800m time of 1:56.64 (14th MWC). 2001: (cross country) Integral member of the cross country team in his first full season of competition...was one of the squad's top-seven runners in every meet and finished among the Lobos' top-five in four races...three top-20 finishes on the season...(outdoor) Recorded the Lobos' third-fastest 800 time (1:55.05) to advance to the finals at the MWC Championships...also notched the team's fifth-best 1,500 time (4:00.54)...(indoor) Competed in six races during the indoor season, notching the third-fastest time in the mile. 2000 (cross country): Redshirt season.
