A 2008 graduate of Albuquerque La Cueva High School...5A state cross country champion as a senior, leading the Bears to a second place finish...earned all-state honors as a junior and senior in both the 1,600 and 3,200m runs...also won District 2 XC crown for the champion Bears in 2007...set the school record in the 3,200 with a time of 11:19...timed at 18:35 in the 5K and 5:11 in the 1,600...competed under head coach Nicholas Martinez and Asst. Jackie Gallegos, two former Lobo distance standouts...Academic Letterman and recepeint of the 2008 Vaughn Company Scholarship.
