HIGH SCHOL: Two-time New Mexico 3A state cross country champion at Pojoaque (N.M.) High School, under head coaches Allan Lockeridge and Pete Bowman...led the Elks to a pair of state titles in 2000 and `02...lost his shoe during the `02 state meet, but ran through the rocky terrain and won the race anyway...earned a place in the Sports Illustrated "Face In The Crowd" section for his shoeless achievment...also captured the 3,200m title on the track in 2003...a five-year letterwinner in both track and cross country...member of the National Honor Society.
